100% green electricity at Filzwieser

Since January 2023, we have been using 100% green electricity from TIWAG. We decided to take this step after a photovoltaic system of our own was not technically feasible due to the roof statics, or vertical surfaces would have covered only a very minimal share of the total electricity demand.

In addition to the use of green electricity, our efforts are naturally also directed toward realizing potential savings. For example, by insulating screw barrels, we were able to save 35% of the heating energy required. After all, energy that is not consumed does not have to be generated. This approach is arguably a very essential one when it comes to finding answers for the energy future of our society.
